My personal thoughts? Ludacris should've been way more careful. He's smarter than that.
To my knowledge though, this song was only getting buzz in the mainstream media after Obama's camp spoke on it. If that's correct, they shouldn't have even touched on it because look at what these Republican news shows are making of it.

Obama isn't responsible for anyone else's words. Same goes for that whole Rev. Wright fiasco. Ludacris knew Obama enjoyed some of his music so he shouldn't have made a track this controversial. Point blank.
This however is just another obstacle Obama has to overcome to prove to the older white crowd that his presidency is not some "paint the white house black" sort of thing.
Sigh, hip-hop and politics will never mix.
