Back in 2002, MTV had a chance to catch up with Kanye West for a You Hear It First segment. In the clip which lasts a little over an hour, 'Ye speaks on creating beats, his trademark "soul sample" production style at that moment, gives an unabridged story of how he got signed to Roc-A-Fella (part of which can be heard from 'Last Call' on his debut album The College Dropout), his thoughts on hip-hop at the moment, and more.
