In The NFL: Week 3

Large

What's up everyone, I went 11-5 last week (and 12-4 the week before). This week's games don't look as good on paper as the past two weeks, but I'm sure there will actually be an upset (even though I don't have the stones to make the pick). The Bucs, Lions, Chiefs, & Bills are all on my radar this week to screw up my pick 'em. Anyway, let's get into the week three picks!
Falcons at New England: The Falcons defense has played better than they were initially expected to after a rough preseason, but this is the game that all changes. The pass rush will not be present enough times to keep Brady from picking their subpar secondary apart. The sole reason the Jets beat New England was Rex Ryan and his blitz packages. The Falcons can not ape the Jets.
Titans at New York: In what looks like to be the game of the week, the Jets are looking to rip a hole in the Titans secondary much like the Texans did last week, but the way that the Jets are using Sanchez will probably mean that they'll rely more on Jones & Washington. The Jets defense should be able to contain the Titans and put this in the books as a W.
49ers at Minnesota: This is an interesting game mostly because of both teams' running game. The Vikings defense has a good shot at shutting down the 49ers running game, and Shaun Hill will never win a game standalone, so the Vikings should squeak out with a win this time.
Saints at Buffalo: This match is interesting for a few reasons and all of them start and end with the Saints offense; The Saints offense has appeared unstoppable, the Bills defense has looked solid at best, and people are questioning whether or not the Saints offense can keep this level of production up. This is the perfect week for both of these teams to make a statement. If the Bills stop the Saints offense, every journalist in the world will move them in the top 10 of their power rankings; if the Saints continues their dominance, the same journalists will start brainstorming articles ranking the Saints among the greatest offenses of all-time. The Saints win this one by 20.
Dolphins at San Diego: Both the Dolphins and the Chargers are coming off of losses. The Dolphins are ahead in the series by 2 wins (14-12 against SD). The 3-4 defense has shown particularly positive results against the wildcat, so expect the Dolphins to use it sparingly after they realize it's a dead cause. When it's all said and done the Dolphins will go 0-3 to open the season.

The rest of this week's picks:
Browns at Baltimore
Redskins at Detriot
Jaguars at Houston
Packers at St. Louis
Giants at Tampa Bay
Chiefs at Philadelphia
Bears at Seattle
Steelers at Cincinnati
Broncos at Oakland
Colts at Arizona
Panthers at Dallas
