I use Logic and my USB keyboard because its just easy to set up on the go. Most of my beats are made when I'm flying from London to NY or vice versa. When I'm on the plane I don't use the USB keyboard though, I just use the keys on the Apple Mac. I made "Clear The Air - Busta featuring Akon and Shabba" on the plane and "Raekwon featuring Busta and Icewater - Do It Big".
iR: Why the name Dready?
Dready: Well I've had Dreads since age five and that's what my father decided to call me. It's simple as that really.
iR: Who do you feel is the most important person, other than yourself, in your life right now?
Dready: The most important person in my life is my six year old son, he keeps me going. I love him beyond belief!
iR: What is your "therapy," or get away from the hustle of the industry?
Dready: Sometimes just listening to old music or making music myself helps. To get away from music altogether, I just chill with my son and play computer with him or just hang out.
iR: One book that you would recommend is....
Dready: I don't get a lot of time to read but I would recommend "The Secret"

iR: If you could do one album with one emcee, who would it be and why?

Dready: I would love to do a whole album with Busta or Jay-Z.
iR: The world is slowly changing, and with that the music is reflecting change. Who do you feel is making the biggest change in the world of music today and why?
Dready: That's a hard question, but I think Timbaland and T-Pain have had the biggest effect on music in the past couple years. Everyone is using autotune and everyone is using techno sounds like Timbaland (and Danja). Also, Kanye is flying the flag for being different and it's working big time!!
iR: Scenario: I run into you on the street, 3 things that you would have on you at all times are?
Dready: Beats, Blackberry, [Beats by Dr.] Dre headphones.
iR: You've done tons of work with Busta, give me a memorable moment with Busta and how did you first get up with him?

Dready: One memorable moment would have to be the day President Obama won the election. I documented all of it, from Busta voting to seeing Busta's reaction to Obama winning. It's on my youtube page. I met Busta through my manager Blitz and I got introduced to Blitz by Rah Digga. Digga is one of the reasons I speak to you today.
iR: Production wise, what pieces of equipment do you find most helpful for you and why?
Dready: I used to be a big fan of the MPC 2000XL. I still am a big fan but right now I just use Logic pro and a USB keyboard, that's it!! Of course I have my little secret tricks in my Mac but that's all I use now.

QuantcastiR: What projects can we look for your most recent work on?
Dready: [The] latest project I'm on is Busta Rhyme's album Back On My B.S. in stores now, go get it. My song on there is called "How You Really Want It." I have a mixtape with Whoo Kid and Busta dropping real soon, it's a birthday celebration for B.I.G and Busta. The project is completely produced by me.

iR: Future fentures?

Dready: I'm working on a lot. I don't like to say too much until the inks dry on the contracts. Although look out for works with Kardinal Offishall, Flipmode, Bishop Lamont to name a few. Put it this way, I'm working on everything that I'm supposed to [laughs]. I just wanna say thanks to all my supporters for having my back. Shout out to my son, big up to illroots.com, And a massive thank you to God for blessing me every single day!!
