Donnis came out to Chicago a couple weeks ago to perform at Lincoln Hall for Jugrnaut’s Pop Them Thangs event. While there, Mike Carson and I rolled over to his hotel the next day where he was shooting a music video for ‘Yupp’, a track off his upcoming mixtape. We chopped it up before the shoot started, talking about everything from making the 2010 XXL Freshman list, his debut album on Atlantic Records, working with Fools Gold, how being in the military affected his music and more.
While in the UK, Jay-Z appeared on the BBC’s Friday Night With Jonathan Ross while in London for the Brit Awards, which he took home an award for.

Yesterday was the Mike Posner meet-and-greet at Leaders in Chicago with Vita-Morte, where I chopped it up with the man himself about graduating early from Duke, resembling Kriss Kross, and making straight hits with his good friend Benny Blanco and what to expect from his debut album.

By now, you should know who Wiz Khalifa is and if you don’t, get from under that rock. Over the past 9 months he has dropped two of the hottest mixtapes of last year, left his major label so that he could control his own destiny and proved that he made the right decision with his aptly titled album Deal Or No Deal. With such a jam packed ’09, Wiz is on pace to make sure everyone knows who he is in 2010. We sat down with Wiz Khalifa to talk about his plans for this year, his feelings on commercial success, How Fly: The Movie, and what’s an interview with Mister Spacely without talking about the nuggets? TGOD!

While up at Columbia College Chicago, I spent my day with the big homie B.o.B.
We got pizza, hung out, and I was ultimatley lucky enough to get a preview of his album.
The first official single is entitled ‘Not Lost’. It is produced by J.R. Rotem, features T.I. and is a guaranteed banger.
I also heard a joint called ‘Pass My Shades’ with Lupe Fiasco and a track featuring Rivers Cuomo, lead singer of Weezer. Yes, Weezer.
Bob’s manager B. Rich also gave me the heads up that B.o.B. will be featured on one of our favorite artists upcoming lead single. I can’t say who, but I know you won’t be disappointed.
The album will be available no later than June, and if what I heard is any indication, expect nothing short of spectacular.
In the above interview, B.o.B. talks Eminem, his situation with Atlantic Records, coming to Chicago, working with Cobra Starship and more.
After the jump, check out his performances of ‘Haterz’, ‘Put Me On’, ‘Top Of The World’ and ‘I’ll Be In The Sky’, courtesy of my man Mike Carson!
