Alright we all know, see, love, hate, write, live, breathe Graffiti. Birthing the style in The Bronx, it quickly moved all over, world wide from different handstyles to different lettering, but Martha Cooper is one of the first ever to document its movement and to see graffiti as more than vandalism. Current TV was able to catch up with her in this interview. I give her nothing but daps. I read the book and I loved it. It’s so beautiful to see artists like Dondi, Seen, Catch47, Lazy, still alive through these photos. It’s truly amazing. Big shouts to Notorious for putting me onto this video.
As some of you may know, I was in London last week.

On the outside of the building, there were huge graffiti pieces by the likes of JR, Blu, Faile, and Sixeshot among others. More info here.
The following photo’s by yours truly. You can see others at flickr.

I’ve known him for a while too, doing some mixes on his ‘Fall Out Boy vs. Kanye West’ tape, and he has done the covers for both of my ‘The Graduate’ mixtapes. Read the rest of this entry »
