Quincy Jones Wants To Buy VIBE Back

“I’m trying to buy my magazine back now,” Jones told EbonyJet.com just moments ago during a telephone call to Jones’ London abode. “They just messed my magazine all up, but I’m gonna get it back. You better believe it, I’m’a take it online because print and all that stuff is over.”

I wouldn’t mind working with Quincy Jones, and unlike several folks he realizes that print media is deceased. Adrienne Samuels Gibbs has a very thorough article for Ebony Jet that goes over the entire VIBE situation.

Q is the man…don’t know if print is completely dead, though. I always prefer reading actual pages I can hold. It’s easier on the eyes and more convenient. I do agree, though, that mags/newspapers are on the way out…which is a sad thing.

I think MJ passing has ignited people to start getting back on what they did in classic eras.

    Quincy for the WIN!

pretty much anything that has to do with actual sales, outside of concert tickets, is dead as far as hip-hop is concerned.
