After Jeezy’s choice words, Drama had this to say:
But more importantly, his statement about me trying to charge him $20k for a mixtape is a BOLD FACE LIE. I never charged Jeezy for nothin’. I did two Slick Pulla tapes (4th Ward Day, Election Day) for free and a Bloodraw tape (The Indictment Papers) for free. Anything Jeezy ever needed from me, I did without hesitation. He doesn’t want to deal with the real reason why he’s mad.
The tension between us actually started when I deejayed his USDA release party (FOR FREE) and I played a Gucci Mane record. He stormed out of his own party and didn’t speak to me for about 2-3 months. Me, being a DJ, I was just rockin’ the crowd and giving the people what they had been requesting. I don’t get involved in that other stuff.
The above quote being from Miss Info.
Jay ARE’s The 1960’s Jazz Revolution Again… album drops September 15th via Polar Entertainment/Groove Attack.

This month, Moka Only dropped his “Lowdown Suite 2 – The Box” album on Feelin’ Music. Some will remember his days w/ Swollen Members as well as his work with J Dilla, MF Doom, Aceyalone, Sadat X, and others. Produced and written entirely by Moka Only, please don’t let “Lowdown Suite 2 - The Box” fall under the radar.
Shouts to Jon Kim.

Introductions are always easier in warm weather. Hence why the good folks from Funkadelic Freestyles, the increasingly-popular weekly independent hip-hop radio show out of The George Washington University in Washington, DC, picked the summer season to broaden their audience. With a tremendous amount of help from their like-minded hip-hop peer, FWMJ of Rappers I Know, they’re proud to present their first-ever collaborative mixtape featuring all new and original music from artists like Oddisee, Danny Brown, X.O., Finale, Kay of The Foundation, Che Grand, Senor Kaos & DJ Spinna, Trackademicks, Akrobatik, Mr. Lif, and many more. The first volume of music bears the title “The Off Season,” in reference to the lengthy summer hiatus between college semesters. It’s hosted by radio personality Jamie Benson (aka jben.ok) and mixed by DJ Jerome Baker III with special appearances from co-hosts Jay Promo, King Carter, Unkle Scooty, andSneakaman Dan.

The movie screening that I was apart of yesterday was phenomenal. Ephraim Benton is a star and if you see the movie it perfectly illustrates that. The subtle coloration of the film along with the amazing cast of characters brought out a vibrant film that will capture your heart and your mind. Congrats Rik and Nancy it was truly a masterpiece.
I was at this show and thanks to Tapemasters Inc we have some dope footage. After the jump catch Colin Munroe and XV’s “Start A War”
