It seems like artists now a days aren’t in it for the long hall. They want to get hit by the lime light one time and then come in contact with the stress and the media that comes with it and then cop out. I’ve been writing music and recording since I was in the 10th Grade and I was 15/16 at the time and Im 21 now, and Im from Texas and my style is so different than everyone else in the Lone Star State. Im just waiting on my chance to make a difference and get my voice heard. Im glad he just has one mixtape and one album. He most likely will be a feature artist on everyone else’s shit. How about you try to sell your spot on a label to someone else….

I have a hunch that he wont retire like he says, but if he does, it’s his decision.
To be perfectly honest, not many people will notice, only the blog folks. He is definitely one of my all-time favorite artists already, but it’s his future. I’m not going to ask him to go crazy for us.
Some of you people are scary man, poking fun at a man’s decision to leave out. I’m sure that if you motherfuckers were in his position, you wouldn’t last any longer than he has.
Not to mention how shitty the industry is now. KiD CuDi is at least a decade late, especially if he wanted to be commercially successful (because there hasn’t been a new artist to consistently get that kind of play).
I cant wait until his HBO show though (hopefully they picked up the pilot?).

He should’nt even be using the word “retire.” To retire you need to have a solid body of work that spans over a long time. Cudi has one mixtape and one hit single. Kid Cudi is the SHIIIETTTT! And I honestly hope to God he doesn’t retire/quit/whatever. I’ve never heard this many people hate on him before… hahah. It’s all gravy though baby! That “duder” is hella talented & I hope he doesn’t quit, like I said. & if he does, I hope he comes back reincarnated like Lupe did as Percival Fats!
