This is the best mixtape in a very long time. it took me back to where rap should be. QuEST is going to fill the void in rap/hip hop. Keep doing your thing and the world will understand where your mind is taking them.

I’m not feeling the production on this joint. There’s really no cratedigging here. Just the soundtracks and re-hashed 70′s cuts we all know and love. The “movie” vibe my man was going with didn’t work at all due to bad “acting”. And dude’s rhymes are pretty average. Am I the only one that is hating the Lupe signature “hold the last line of the bar until the very end to start fresh on the next bar” rhyme scheme? On some real, this jawn is NOT ill.

Get money and teach babies. PEACE!!!

^^^

the rhyme scheme is dope because its telling a story, theres no need to completely overly complicated and intricate because its for everyone. first off. And hes a rapper not and actor, and it was pretty believeable to me and Im sure for everyone else who copped the joint. And thats not a lupe signiture , its actually a hova signiture stolen from Young chris in 03 fam. The fact of the matter is this tape is flawless because everyone can relate to it, and from production to dope story telling, to great vocals, and creative rhymeschemes, its easily one of the best conceptual mixtapes of all time. I SAID IT.

And as far as crate digging, the 1970′s was all about “the classics” the joints that EVERYBODY knew and loved, and remembered. Who wants to hear a joint from the 70;s that even people who grew up in the 70′s didnt kniw?

Nuff said Quest YOURE ILL! PERIOD!
