Busta Rhymes – Weapon X (Dub Floyd Exclusive Screamixx) (Prod. by Djay Cas)
2008 Justo Rookie Of The Year award winner Dub Floyd is back with “I Do It For Hip Hop Vol. 2: X-Men Origins Edition”. The follow up to the well recieved “I Do It For Hip Hop” which featured Ludacris, Nas & Jay-Z. This release features Hip Hop Heavyweights… Busta Rhymes, Kanye West, and Lil’ Wayne. With the new “X-Men Origins: Wolverine” movie approaching along with Busta Rhymes comparing himself to Wolverine in a recent interview & Kanye West comparing himself to Cyclops in a recent Details magazine interview, Dub thought it would be great to fuse the Superhero world & Hip Hop world together. This mix cd contains New & Throwback material, as well as Dub Floyd’s Screamixxes and Exclusive Screamixxes with original production by his go to producer Djay Cas of The Academy.
I don’t know if any of ya’ll have been following this, but it seems as though Charles Hamilton stole the beat for ‘Shinin’ off The Pink Lavalamp from this producer named Black Spade and is trying to pass it off as his.
I’ll save my time and just tell you to head on over to FreshSelects for the full scoop, very interesting stuff.
Above is Black Spade talking about the whole situation from his side of the story, including a breakdown of how he made the beat.
