T.I. Wasn’t to bright for dropping this track. He was definitely the weakest on the joint. Wayne even sat down on that shit.

I love hip hop. to see all 4 of these cats sharing the same stage was unreal. Hov KILLED it.

by the way, I can’t believe Chris Brown committed career suicide earlier today. Innocent until proven guilty I know but damn how in the world can you lay a finger on that beautiful women he has/had.

Not the best by a long shot, but real decent . Swagger Like Us was the kicker!

Coldplay’s performance was nice. I was definitely expecting the Jay-Z feature on Lost. I liked how that panned out, though I guess Jay didn’t want a more grandiose entrance than he had. I felt the transition from the piano part to the main stage part wasn’t that smooth. It had an awkward abruptness to it. But it was okay for what it was.

On to what I felt was the most anticipated performance of the night, Kanye West and Estelle. After seeing them connect at the European Music Awards, I had high hopes. The performance wasn’t bad, but it definitely didn’t seem like a great one from either of them. I will say that both of their outfits sporting that Michael Jackson glove silver was pretty dope. Overall, it was okay.

The performance of “Swagger Like Us” was really epic! I loved the way they crossed it with the “Rat Pack” concept, calling the four the “Rap Pack”. The classic gray screen added to the effect. I thought everything about the performance was superb EXCEPT a pregnant M.I.A performing with them. I mean, I have nothing against pregnant women or even pregnant women still doing their jobs while pregnant, but it just didn’t seem like a classy thing for her to do. I guess it was the fact she was performing and dressed in a scantily clad outfit that I would have gave the thumbs up to if she hadn’t of been pregnant. Her presence up there reminded me of Britney Spears at the 2007 VMAs with the bulge. LOL. I think if they wanted her to perform her part that was sampled, they should have figured out a clever way to present her instead of having her jump around on stage with 4 rappers at high impact energy. I mean, that’s just my opinion on the matter.

T.I & Justin Timberlake graced the stage next. For some reason, I sort of alredy knew T.I. would stumble over the introduction of his first verse because the stanza’s candanec, and as a matter of fact, the cadence throughout the song was very speedy. He got back on track easily though and I thought the song was just as powerful as the first time I heard it. It was a much needed global viewed performance for T.I. so he could really speak about himself as a human being and how he’s “grown up” in a since or “elevated” his thinking and his logic to things in life and how he approaches events and the actions he makes.

Weezy’s performance was more classy and mature like I knew it would be just judging by what he said in the Katie Couric interview.

    Overall, a decent Grammy.

Though we all knew Wayne would take home “Rap Album of The Year”, I still wished by homey Lupe would have scooped it.

(Sorry for the long post. Just stating my opinions . I’m a music critic. LOL)
