On New Years Eve, this routine pat down turns fatal when a police officer detains Oscar Grant while another officer reaches for his gun and shoots Grant in the back. If you have a platform and you don’t speak your mind it is an ultimate disservice to the community. When my good friend pointed this out and told me of the efforts that are being orchestrated to see that justice be carried out, there was no question. If you feel like you want to speak your opinion then by all means visit GatheringForJustice and make your voice heard. I urge our culture and our society to speak out against all brutality as violence is never justified. Don’t be afraid to leave comments, I want to hear everyones opinions on this matter.

As a Baydestrian, I really hope justice will be served and BART Police do right by this kid and his family. To be honest, it’s a ticking time bomb out here and anything even remotely shady will spark some shit up out here. Ive grown up taking the BART and did notice that BART Police has been rather aggressive, but nothin like this. God Bless the family, and thank you for takin the time and showin light to this unfortunate incident.

Also, there are two more angles of video, including one which shows all of the boys being searched. There is no justification for that officer to draw his weapon.

When i first heard about this i scoffed at it. I guess desensitized by this culture of video apathy and my own experiences with violence. Until i saw the video. To say that is hard. To say that i scoffed. But i did. I ask you what progress has been made in this world. I am baffled by the actions of people as devious as this. And the fact we all know he will (no matter his punishment) be let off in our eyes is the blunt truth to the neck that we should never accept such acts of horror. No case can be made for this being acceptable. NONE. Crysis is far from just being over seas we all agree on that. Black white brown whatever, this is disgusting. Thought, prayers, and love to his family. Fight hard to subdue this system into eating one of their own. He deserves no less.

Incomprehensible, Oh God, I can’t believe it, I don’t want to believe it-it is just too scary and sad. It is just too insane to think an officer would commit such a hideous crime with so many witnesses. He would have to be insane. If it was an accident, it is a tragedy for all involved. .
I guess- I just don’t want to believe that any one of our officer’s could execute someone. I want to believe in humanity and the good in mankind. I want to believe that the officer meant to taser the guy and pulled out the gun instead. Either way, something needs to be done to make sure it never happens again.
Even if the officer was insane and did it intentionally; just the thought that it could happen accidentally warrants a change in procedures, the look and feel of the taser, location of the taser. Nonetheless, there is no excuse and he is going to have to pay for his mistake. He will never forget or forgive himself if he made such a mistake and neither will America. How could there be procedures in place that would allow such negligence and devastation.

What happened here is sick. This cop needs to go to prison or the chair.
But, you make yourself look like a fool with statements like violence is never justified. If think for 2 seconds I’m sure you can come up with at least 10 examples of where violence is justified.
Shooting a handcuffed, subdued man in the back, now that is never justified.

wow. wtf were they thinking when they did this ? did they really think it was ok and they were just gona go on with their lives like what they did wasn’t horrible? im so sick of people dying for no damn reason. NO REASON. he didnt do a damn thing. regardless whatever struggle, the guns are supposedly the last result. im disgusted. and all this does is fuck it up for the rest of the people that do their job right, which is already a very small population.
