The Month Of Madness
All respect to Freeway, but when known rappers that have been around for some time do stuff like this it kinda makes me think less of them.
I dunno man, am I alone in this mindstate?

AGREED. Lip syncing in the studio is a weak look..and a track a day for a month…THANKS (!) quality not quantity Free. Freeway used to be one of my favourite rappers when I was a kid, then I grew up.

Ha yeah if you’re talking about lip syncing in the studio I’m with you. But you can’t blame Freeway for trying to keep up with the younger emcees taking over the internet. If he was mad famous he wouldn’t need to do that but he’s borderline and there’s a lot of kids out there that he’s trying to win over.
I can tell you I won’t be listening to 95% of it though.

I dunno man. I rate Free highly so I’m a lil biased. One of the things I like most at him is he has a great ear for beats and I think that’s what can make somethin like a track a day for x amount of time a success.
I’m not sure if I understand why as an artist he would do this…..but I’m lookin forward to the music.

Freeway makes good music, if the music doesn’t suffer then I’m for it. I’m looking forward to good music.

Video seemed like it was thrown together pretty quickly.

WEll there is a couple of ways you can look at it. 1) the internet (you tube, blog sites) has replaced exclusives from dj’s on the radio, and bootlegging on Jamaica ave. 2)Jay-z distanced himself from the ROC. 3) He needs to create exposure for himself, at the cheapest way possible.
i really dont care for freeway anymore

i still got respect for the dude, he obviously doesnt have a serious budget, and he still needs to be “out there” so niggas dont sleep on him. it took him a while to come to this level which is ridiculous because every artist should be trying to make low budget videos so they can market themselves.

I wish that these “borderline” niggas didn’t jack their promo concepts from rappers who aren’t famous at all. That’s a tactic niggas use to get on. Being a rapper who already has albums under the belt, I see this as backward progress. SMH. And I have BOTH of Free’s CD’s.
