A Post From Across The Pond

At an alarming rate we are seeing that the United Kingdom and other European countries are producing bonafied stars. Where we see such artists as Sway and Estelle breakthrough, I would like to be the first to say that their are several artists that are indirectly and directly correlated with Hip-Hop that are worth a listen to. After the jump, check some extremely dope links as we truly give you a foreign exchange. Props to SmokeYYY.

Mr. Hudson & The Library – If you aren’t up on Mr. H, then you can look out for a very exclusive interview from yours truly with the man himself. But between him and his percussionist Tokoyoyo they are beyond the dopest. You can spot Mr. H working with Kanye on several occasions.

Miles Timothy or Crazyee Banditt – Miles has a distinct sound under his alter ego Crayzee Banditt, I was graced with his presence a few years back during my college days, please take a look at both his pages as the Miles Timothy page is a dilla-esque feel, while Crayzee Banditt is extremely grime.

The Script – Not really hip-hop but they are one of the top selling acts from Ireland since U2 and have been tearing up the scene for a little time now. There sound does though have a very gritty feel with a somewhat Citizen Cope feel.

Wiley – A pioneer of the aforementioned subgenre of Grime, he has a real dope song that Smokey recently put me up onto with longtime Mark Ronson crooner Daniel Merriweather on the hook. His previous album Treddin on Thin Icewas released in 2004 and made staple in the grime scene. Starting out as a DJ he moved on to become an extremely versatile producer and MC.
