    What’s Your Favorite Verse?

Over at the ever active illRoots message board, I started up a thread asking you what your favorite verse of all time is. I chose Method Man’s part from the Wu-Tang Clan’s Protect Ya Neck.
Many things make up a dope verse. Flow, rhyme scheme, content, vocal tones, etc.
But a favorite is something that is unique to every listener.
Feel free to join and post up your favorite verse. Be sure to note the artist and song.
While your there, check out the rest of our forums and get to posting (its FREE! Wooo)! Feel free to introduce yourself here!
We will be holding a contest very soon.

this is a tough question…i could probably name one and then want to change it later….as of right now it is either “Paid in Full” by Eric B & Rakim, Kanye’s verse on “Never Let You Down”, or Lauryn Hill’s long ass verse in “Mystery of Iniquity”. like i said, this is difficult…

Really hard to decide, but I think I figured a way. I know its favorite verses but I’m gonna give 3 albums. You just choose any song/verse from that particular album because they’re all great. In no particular order: Jay-Z’s Black Album or in my case Grey Album. Lyrically one of the best albums of all time. Eminem’s Marshall Mathers LP. When I first started listening to him never heard some one rap like that. Truly amazing! Last but not least Lupe Fiasco’s The Cool. It’s kinda funny because it seems as if people underate him. One particular song not from The Cool, but from Food & Liquor called “The Cool”; Lupe raps about a dead man coming back to life. The lyrics are so vivid. He’s a genious. Let me know what you think of my choices. Sorry my reply is so long.
