After going to the Glow In The Dark Tour last night, it is so clear that Kanye is the hottest emcee in the game. I cant even begin to explain how incredible the concert was. Diddy agrees.

Kanye so deserves the #1 spot but come on. Snoop Dogg, Rick Ross, and Andre 3000? Andre 3 Stacks is a great MC but you got to put out more than just 2 guest spots to get on the list. Thats not right. Snoop Dogg shouldn’t even be on there because he doesn’t even write his own music and Ego Trippin wasn’t all that great and Rick Ross? I don’t know about Rick Ross. But anyways. Here’s my top 10 of hottest right now (cus most people who give their opinion go by who they like to listen to):
1.) Kanye West (Hot album, Hot tour. Deserves #1 spot)
2.) Jay-Z (Hot album, hot tour but Kanye is doing it bigger than Jay)
3.) Lupe Fiasco (I’m still bumping The Cool and the Superstar rmx is crazy plus was good on the GITD tour with Kanye)
4.) Lil Wayne (Put out Tha Carter III and lose the auto tuner and then well talk)
5.) Bun B (II Trill leaked this week and it is THE HOTTEST ALBUM OUT RIGHT NOW. Definetly in my top albums of this year)
6.) The Game (LAX should be big. Big Dreams was good. Pain was ok and 911 was good too so it should be interesting to see what hell do on his “last” album)
7.) Busta Rhymes (Why was he not up for any consideration? Hes put out 2 songs this year and they were both hot and his album comes out in a month and your not gonna put him on the list. Plus a guest spot on a Shabba Ranks track and 2 mixtapes [Dillagence and I Outshined...] Busta is back people. You need to recognize.)
8.) 50 Cent (yea his album flopped and I dont really like his music that much but still hes doing it big on them mixtapes)
9.) Young Jeezy (has some guest spots and that hot song with kanye west but hell get bigger as the year goes on)
10.) T.I./ The Roots (The Roots album was great but isnt really getting a ton of airplay but they have a great album and are selling. T.I. on the other hand has one song but some of his songs leaked and are decent and Paper Trail should be good)

i cant really make a whole list cause i aint really listening to a whole lotta rap right this minute. Andre 3000 is my favorite rapper period but i agree that his MC status is gonna start to slide (and that is hard to do if youre 3 stacks) because he doin all these movies. but i also agree with dre when he came out with the love below and when asked why he was singin on most of his albums he said he (didnt really have anything to say.) he didnt have alot of subject matter. so much shit was goin on during atliens, aquemini, and stankonia he literally had unlimited subject matter at his disposal. hopefully when he announces his next album hell have somethin to say. Then too if youre a big fan 3000 you wouldnt want him to come out with somethin that sucks (which again would be hard to do.) he’s always stressed tha need to top what he did before. Lupe Fiasco is another of my favorites (just recently actually) Food & Liquor and The Cool was great, lyrically and beat-wise also. right now besides 3000, Lupe is the best lyricist out right now, songs like pressure with Jay-z, dumb it down, superstar and the coolest are raw. Kanye West is also a favorite of mine but what is this i here about him singing on his album, i guess he tryin to pull a 3000 move? lyrically he aint really all that but he’s a genius when it comes to making beats. honestly i think Lupe is better than Kanye lyrically no doubt. Rick Ross is cool too, i think he’s pretty good lyrically too, port of miami was cool as hell and trilla is pretty good too. T.I. is great too, got that swagger, lyrically he’s cool i dont know why he doesnt sell more records.
Of course Jay-Z is a legend, just me personally im not that big of a fan of his. same with Lil Wayne, lyrically he’s really good just not the hugest fan of his. Snoop- to me snoop is a legend but its like that’s tha only reason he’s around though or why anyone wants him on their album because he’s snoop. back then he was one of the kings of lyricism next to 2pac, jay-z, nas, biggie- like he was there but lately he’s just so commercial-just sayin whatever will sell. jeezy aint a lyricist to me period! he’s got the confidence and swag, no lyricism. 50 is a lyricist i just dont like that nigga. he’ll beef with whoever is on top just cause he aint no more, he’s so controversial the shit is really ridiculous. i know i wrote alot but this is just my opinion on today’s MC’s
