And I knew the album wasn't perfect but I couldn't really think of any tracks that I would target to leave out, and so that was the only track that my expectations weren't exactly met, and I was a little dissapointed about, so that wa sthe only track that I could point out to maybe consider leaving it out. I mean Common could have put more songs but that seems to be expected. Kweli definitely stepped up on this as expected. I was hoping a more Reflection Eternal/Blackstar kwe and not a Beautiful Struggle kwe. Although i believe in todays society we need to respect the artist and not criticize them as much for being open minded and working with artists of all walks of life. For example Rhymefest made and amazing song with Lil' Jon called Angry Black Man in an Elevator. The difference with hip hop as opposed to every other genre is that we confine ourselves to this one type of genre and when a conscience rapper like Kwe puts out a song with Pharrell like on his last album he gets criticized for it. But at the same time Madonna can work with damn near anybody and nobody says a word. Why is this So? People forget that Hip Hop is a collaboration of all types of music and the reason that this type of music has such longevity is that we adapt....from Boom Bap....to dirty south.... to sped up samples....to chopped and screwed. Any way the more difference in hip hop the better. You need your Public Enemies just as much as you need your Party records its always been that way. The spectrum of hip hop is what makes it more than a music but a movement.
