A week or so ago my homey DJ Nice of Crack City decided to get together and do a mixtape for both of our camps. He banged out the tape and I did the cover work, making it an ill joint project. I first got word of this being the single when I ended up on Talib’s MySpace and saw that it was noted as a single and had 12 plays, therefore Wacks > You. I did wait a little bit to post it just so I wouldn’t make some people more upset with us then they already are ;). The beat can get annoying but it’s an ill track nonetheless. I have a feeling Kanye is going to own the summer with this one.

Its been ten years since Lauryn Hill had new music. Everyone has all but given up on hearing new Fugees material and earlier this year Lauryn turned down the Fugees album herself. Everyone thought that was the nail in the coffin for any new material from anybody but Wyclef (who wants to hear a new Wyclef though). Well, Representatives from Lauryn’s team just told MTV News that she is back in the studio! the details are hairy right now, but we know she isn’t using unreleased material for the album. She prefers going in the studio an knocking out fresh material. Unfortunately there isn’t a release date or title at this time. This is still great news though!

We called it. 3 months ago we posted the home-made video to this song. I guess since then they were signed by Jermaine Dupri and are now on Island Urban Music and now have an official video which is posted above. 50 gold dubloons says this will be this summers Chicken Noodle Soup. I like this track better anyway so its all good with me. Peep his MySpace here. The track is also now on iTunes.

This joint makes the song seem even better.

?uestlove recently told AHH about The Roots future and that they were currently recording there tenth album that will be entitled ‘Rising Down’. This is the best news I have heard this year since Wu-Tang announced there return!

“We’re trying to make number ten as exciting as number one was, as exciting as number five was,” ?uestlove told AllHipHop.com. “I’m amped that not many groups get ten opportunities to make a statement. Not even Hip-Hop, just period. You can’t even count ten records from the same group, that much, maybe on a few fingers. We’re very fortunate, and happy, and we are definitely pushing our envelope again.”
